The hype is real when it comes to Ubisoft’s The Division.
[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]ts official, The Division is the most popular and the most played beta in gaming history. With a grand total of 6.4 million players involved across Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC, The Division has beat out Bungie’s Destiny, which had a total of 4.6 million players participating on Playstation 4, Xbox One, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.
Ubisoft has high hopes for The Division and has stated that it could join Destiny, Assassin’s Creed and Watch Dogs as one of the most popular IP in history. According to Ubisoft’s records, The Division beta players played five hours, on average, every day since the beta went live on Xbox One on February 18th, and then February 19th for Playstation 4 and Xbox One. Nearly fifty percent of all beta users went rogue, meaning that they killed their own friendly party members. Would it be safe to bet that The Division might be responsible for ruining friendships? Probably.
The Division will be released for all platforms on March 8th of this year.
