[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]n a recent interview on AMC’s Geeking Out, Zombieland writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese revealed that they had started the process of writing Zombieland 2.
They said that they were going to be getting together with Zombieland star Woody Harrelson to hammer some more of the details but the movie is coming together. They also said that the rest of cast was “pretty excited”.
This is huge news for fans of Zombieland. After becoming a cult hit, many fans were clamoring for a sequel only to see it get put on ice. Now that there is some progress on the sequel fans can rejoice.
There is no film date yet for Zombieland 2.
