[dropcap size=small]P[/dropcap]aramount Pictures recently announced that World War Z 2 has been cancelled. It had been scheduled to be released in theaters on June 9, 2017.
World War Z 2 had been having director issues for some time before the cancellation. Juan Antonio Bayona (The Impossible, A Monster Calls) had been at the helm but he left over year ago and had not been replaced. David Fincher (Fight Club, Se7en) had been tied to the film but nothing was ever finalized.
