The former CW star will lend her voice late next month.
The CW is no stranger to crossover events (looking at you, Arrow and Flash), and now it looks like Veronica Mars and iZombie will be receiving this treatment next. Well, kind of.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Kristen Bell will guest star on the 11th episode of the second season of iZombie.
However, Bell won’t actually appear. Apparently, she will only have a voice-over role for the episode, which will air on January 26.
In the episode, titled “Fifty Shades of Grey Matter,” Rose investigates the death of a young erotic fiction writer, hence the punny title. Bell’s role in the episode has yet to be revealed.

Fans of both Veronica Mars and iZombie have probably been anticipating this cameo for some time, as the creator of both shows, Rob Thomas, has brought on many Mars alumni as guest stars before. Check out the list of these guest stars here.
While we’re a little bummed that Bell won’t physically appear in the episode (and that she won’t be playing a certain private detective), we are none the less excited for her iZombie debut.
iZombie returns to The CW on January 12.
