This week at the Park we have a blocky caped crusader, two very rich and in trouble arms dealers, and an incredible steampunk world.

The LEGO Batman Movie

Will Arnett’s voice acting of Batman in the 2014 film The LEGO Movie stole the show enough to receive his own spin-off film. The Dark Knight’s universe will be getting the Lego treatment complete with a multitude of different Bat-suits and a cameo from the Justice League. The film centers around the Joker, voiced by Zach Galifianakis, trying to take over Gotham City and Batman realizing he’ll need help to stop him. And that help comes in the form of a Michael Cera voiced Robin and Rosario Dawson voiced Batgirl.

The LEGO Batman Movie stars Will Arnett, Ralph Fiennes, Rosario Dawson, Michael Cera, Zach Galifianakis, and Mariah Carey and hits theaters February 10th, 2017.

War Dogs

War Dogs centers around two arms dealers, David Packouz and Efraim Diveroli, who are portrayed by Miles Teller and Jonah Hill, respectively, that have secured a $300 million contract with the government to supply weapons to the US allies in Afghanistan. So what would two guys in their 20’s do with all this money? Well buy alcohol, drugs, and go to strip clubs of course! The film is based on the Rolling Stone article and book titled ‘Arms and the Dudes‘ both by Guy Lawson.

War Dogs stars Miles Teller, Jonah Hill, Ana de Armas, J. B. Blanc, and Bradley Cooper and hits theaters August 19th.

April and the Extraordinary World

April and the Extraordinary World is a French film that released last year that centers around a young girl, April, whose parents were abducted because they were scientists in a 20th century steampunk France. With her talking cat Darwin, her grandfather, and her new new friend Julius, April must journey through many dangers to find her missing parents.

April and the Extraordinary World features voice acting from Paul Giamatti, Tony Hale, Susan Sarandon and J.K. Simmons and releases US theaters starting April 8th.
