This Week at the Trailer Park: Wreck-It Ralph 2, Lego Movie 2, and How to Train Your Dragon 3

Trailer Park is back, and this week, it’s animation sequel mayhem!

In addition to the outstanding Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse trailer, three new teasers for highly anticipated animated films were released this week. Let’s break them down.

Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2

Ralph and Vanellope leave the arcade and head to the World Wide Web in order to find a replacement part for Sugar Rush. It was super cool in the first film to see video game characters like Bowser or Sonic have cameo appearances, but now in the sequel it’s pretty gross to see giant corporations like Google and Snapchat be given the same treatment (not kidding, it gave me Emoji Movie vibes). But it was awesome to see all the Disney princesses together! Hopefully there’s more to that scene saved for the movie. Ralph breaks the Internet on November 21.

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part

Everything isn’t awesome after Bricksburg has decayed into a post apocalyptic wasteland following the Duplo invasion at the end of the first film. When his friends are captured by a mysterious threat, Emmet must become the Special once more to save them. Phil Lord and Chris Miller aren’t directing this one, but from gags and stellar blocky animation, we think The Second Part is in good hands. Emmet and the company return on February 8, 2019.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

Humans and dragons are finally living in peace, but when a vengeful threat emerges, the bond between Hiccup and Toothless is tested. How to Train Your Dragon is the best Dreamworks series (come at me Shrek), and yep, part three looks great. We’re a little hesitant about the “Toothless gets a girlfriend” plotline, but that doesn’t matter because Hiccup has a HOT MAN BEARD. Hiccup unleashes his fuzzy face on March 1, 2019.
