The Force Awakens jumped up to second, passing Ride Along 2, which dropped down to #3. Dirty Grandpa, The Boy, and The 5th Wave all had strong starts in the box office coming in at numbers 4, 5, and 6, respectively. 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi also had a strong second week, grossing close to $10.00M.
Releasing this week is Kung Fu Panda 3 starring Jack Black, which has received widely positive reviews and action-drama The Finest Hours starring Chris Pine. Fifty Shades of Gray spoof, Fifty Shades of Black, hits theaters this week and stars Kali Hawk and Marlon Wayans. Finally, we have western Jane Got a Gun starring Natalie Portman. All four movies release of January 29th. There should be a shake up this week at the box office due to the amount of movies that are releasing.
