For the last few months rumors have been swirling around the internet that the third Spider-Man film will somehow bring back not only Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man but Andrew Garfield’s as well. Jamie Foxx even all but confirmed some sort of Marvel Multiverse after posting an image on Instagram featuring some fan-art before quickly deleting it. But it now appears that Sony has confirmed this theory, although by accident.
Earlier today Sony’s Latin America YouTube channel shared a promotional video featuring scenes from the original Spider-Man trilogy, the Amazing Spider-Man films, and Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home. The video lasted a few minutes before ending with:
“Who is your favorite Spider-Man? You don’t have to choose — in the Marvel Multiverse, anything can happen. In Spider-Man 3 you will quite possibly see everyone — yes — the three Peter Parkers saving the world together.”
For a brief moment the words “Find out more very soon” were displayed as well. However, with the video being set to private now it certainly appears to have been an accident. This means the video may have been meant to be released within a few days or within a few weeks from now. We’ll just have to wait and see.
The untitled Spider-Man 3 film swings into theaters on December 17, 2021.
