First Tim Miller leaves Deadpool 2 and now this?

[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]t seems the biggest issue with upcoming superhero films are the creative differences between the director and studio lately. The Flash was to begin filming in March of next year and then to be released in theaters the year after. However, now that Jim Famuyiwa has left the project it is expected that the film will be delayed for several months now.

Jim Famuyiwa announced that he would be leaving the film due to “creative differences” and gave a statement to The Hollywood Reporter stating, “When I was approached by Warner Bros. and DC about the possibility of directing The Flash, I was excited about the opportunity to enter this amazing world of characters that I loved growing up, and still do to this day.” Sources close to the project claim that Jim allegedly clashed with Warner Bros. Studios because his version had more edge in mind for the film.

“I was also excited to work with Ezra Miller, who is a phenomenal young actor. I pitched a version of the film in line with my voice, humor and heart. While it’s disappointing that we couldn’t come together creatively on the project, I remain grateful for the opportunity. I will continue to look for opportunities to tell stories that speak to a fresh generational, topical and multicultural point of view. I wish Warner Bros., DC, Jon Berg, Geoff Johns and Ezra Miller all the best as they continue their journey into the speed force.”

Jim Famuyiwa was responsible for the coming-of-age film Dope which was widely popular at the Sundance Film Festival and the director surely would have brought an amazing story to life. Now that there have been two directors who have stepped down we can only hope that Warner Bros. finds a fitting director for the fastest man alive soon.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.
