[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he Resident Evil series has definitely seen better times and fans (myself included) of the zombie-apocalyptic series have grown frustrated with the increasingly poor game play and story line ever since Resident Evil 5 was released. Luckily, Capcom has heard the voices of their fans and have promised to deliver a whole new game that sets itself apart from previous Resident Evil games by offering a whole new experience in what is now titled Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. Check out the new trailer below but be warned, what you’re about to see is quite unsettling.
It would be safe to say that this is the most disturbing and gruesome trailer for any Resident Evil game thus far and unfortunately for the mysterious character Ethan, he seems to be stuck in the middle of it all. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will allegedly take place following the events of Resident Evil 6 and will feature an unknown character by the name of Ethan who is captured by a cannibalistic family known as the Bakers who have a father in the family that seems to be immune to not only fire but being shot at nearly point blank range repeatedly. Talk about being a wonderful father figure.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard will be the first game in the series to be written by a Western writer and it will be played from a first person perspective. The game will supposedly make use of the PS4’s new 4k ability and will be optimized for the PlayStation VR. With no mention of the Umbrella Corp, S.T.A.R.S. or any zombies that look familiar from previous Resident Evil games, Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is surely making a name for itself.
