Yep. That’s a lot of planets.

No Man’s Sky, the highly anticipated procedurally generated open universe game, finally completed development a couple of weeks back, confirming its upcoming release early next month.

To help celebrate, a new trailer was released showcasing the endless possibilities of this ambitious title.

Check it out below.

Titled “Explore,” the trailer highlights one of the four main features of the game (the others being survival, combat, and trading). Through gorgeous visuals, this theme is emphasized by showing the substantial variety in plants, creatures, and planets.

Speaking of planets, the big takeaway from the trailer is that the game will feature over 18 quintillion planets to explore. To save you a google search, that’s 18,446,744,073,709,551,616, specifically (via Polygon).

While one might expect the game will take up a huge chunk of your hard drive to fit all of those planets, this isn’t the case. According to game director Sean Murray, the actual size of the game on a PS4 disc is only 6 GB, with most of that being audio.

Surely, this is black magic. 6 GB is tiny compared to other space-exploration games like Destiny, so how is this possible?! Well, we’d think the procedurally and seed number generated nature of the game’s design might minimize the number of game assets that are included on the disc, but yeah, it’s most likely black magic.

Both deceptively small and outrageously huge, it looks like there is plenty to see in No Man’s Sky. But will there be plenty to do? It won’t be long before we find out.

No Man’s Sky comes to PS4 and PC on August 9.
