The supernatural action show, Petals of Reincarnation, has been building buzz for months, and HIDIVE has now confirmed that the simulcast will premiere on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 12:30 a.m. Eastern, streaming exclusively on the service with new subtitled episodes arriving every Thursday throughout the spring.

Alongside the date announcement, HIDIVE released the latest English-language key visual and trailer, both hinting at a story that mixes historical mythology with modern anime chaos. The series revolves around the Branch of Reincarnation, a mysterious object that allows people to inherit the talents of their past lives, provided they activate it by cutting their own throat, which is exactly the kind of detail that tells you this show is not aiming for subtlety.

The story follows Toya Senji, a teenager with serious confidence issues after growing up in the shadow of his gifted older brother. Despite placing high on national mock exams, Toya feels he has no real talent until he meets his classmate Haito Luo Buffett, a “Returner” who has already awakened abilities from a previous life and is using them to battle a serial killer, because anime rarely believes in easing into its plot.

Petals of Reincarnation will stream only on HIDIVE in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand, and will be available across phones, computers, and connected TVs, with the usual free trial for anyone curious enough to see how strange the premise actually gets.
