Petals of Reincarnation will begin broadcasting on Tokyo MX and BS Nippon in April 2026, wasting absolutely no time by dropping a new key visual, a fresh PV, five new cast members, and enough vague foreshadowing to keep anime theory channels fed for months.

The newly released key visual features the “Forest of the Greats,” an organization of Returners whose stated goal is world peace and whose actual job description appears to be “stand dramatically while staring at something extremely important just off-screen.” The artwork features seven characters aligned in the same direction, each proudly displaying their own combat style, skill set, and unmistakable anime aura. What they’re all looking at has not been revealed yet, but rest assured it will absolutely matter later.

The second PV opens with protagonist Toya Senji declaring his overwhelming thirst for talent, because nothing says healthy ambition like existential intensity right out of the gate. The trailer then unleashes a rapid-fire montage of slick action cuts, ominous worldbuilding, and repeated reminders that the members of the Forest of the Greats are, in fact, the people driving the story forward. The closing moments quietly—but not subtly—hint at the significance of Toya’s left arm, because anime has taught us that no limb is ever just a limb. The PV rewards multiple rewatches, mostly because you’ll be convinced you missed something important the first ten times.

As if that weren’t enough, five new cast members were announced, each portraying historical legends who have apparently been reincarnated specifically to dominate the voice acting lineup. Haruka Shiraishi voices A. Einstein, Kaito Ishikawa takes on I. Newton, Reina Ueda portrays F. Nightingale, Marina Inoue voices Jubei Mitsuyoshi Yagyu, and Shugo Nakamura joins as Hiroshi Funasaka. On the musical front, the opening theme “Glitch*” by eill and the ending theme “Zero” by Sizuk were revealed, with a snippet of the opening already baked into the trailer alongside the newly unveiled character voices.

And just in case you somehow missed it the first time, yes—five new cast members from the Forest of the Greats were revealed today, along with full details on the opening and ending themes. Subtlety, after all, is not what this reincarnation cycle is about.
