With the all-female Ghostbusters reboot hitting this summer, LEGO has gone ahead and revealed the first set that will tie-in with the upcoming film, “Ghostbuster Ecto-1 & Ecto-2.”
This set includes the reboot’s version of the classic Ecto-1 vehicle, as well as the new motorbike, Ecto-2.
Also included are four minifigures of the new Ghostbusting crew: Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig), Abby Yates (Melissa McCarthy), Jillian Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon), and Patty Tolan (Leslie Jones). The Ghostbusters’ receptionist, Kevin (Chris Hemsworth), is included as well.
The set seemingly reveals an antagonist of the film, a “Red Daemon,” a special figure also in the set.
Apparently, Kevin’s minifigure head spins around to reveal the Red Daemon’s face…spoiler alert? Will Hemsworth become possessed à la Sigourney Weaver in the original?
Regardless, this is a pretty neat set, ripe with rich detail and an awesome handful of minifigs.
Ghostbuster Ecto-1 & Ecto-2 will cost $60, and release on July 1.
Ghostbusters hits theaters on July 15.
