Marvel Developing New Comedy TV Series, Squirrel Girl also in the Works

The idea of Squirrel Girl getting her own show may seem nuts, but not to Marvel and ABC Studios.

[dropcap size=small]W[/dropcap]hile Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment may be struggling to produce a film that isn’t a complete trainwreck and pleases fans, Marvel has been busy releasing box office hits and they seem to be unstoppable. After all, if Marvel can release a film that made $773 million at the box office that followed a ragtag team of anti-heroes that includes a raccoon with machine gun anything is possible. With that in mind, it shouldn’t be too surprising to learn that Marvel has given New Warriors and Squirrel Girl the green light. Check out the short video below to get a better idea of who Squirrel Girl is.

The New Warriors can be described as a superhero team made up of teenagers that have special abilities and according to TVLine‘s sources Squirrel Girl will be a major part of New WarriorsNew Warriors will supposedly be a half-hour-long comedy series that will air on ABC Studios and more than likely streaming businesses like Hulu. It isn’t too farfetched to believe this rumor considering ABC Studios has been the studio to air other Marvel works like Agent Carter and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Squirrel Girl is a bit too far out there for young adults and older fans to take seriously, even if she also has super strength and agility. If anything, Marvel and ABC Studios will produce the film for those who are preteens and younger.

Although New Warriors/Squirrel Girl is reportedly going to be a comedy the show seems a bit too far out there for young adults and older fans to take seriously, even if she also has super strength and agility. If anything, Marvel and ABC Studios will produce the show for those who are preteens and younger.
