As great of an idea this is, Hill thinks that “it’s too complicated.”
[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap]ccording to the Toronto Sun, 22 Jump Street actor Jonah Hill doesn’t think a crossover between 23 Jump Street and Men in Black will happen because “it’s too complicated.”
“They’re trying to make all the deals, but it’s kind of impossible with all the Men in Black stuff. The Jump Street films were so fun to make and the whole joke of them was they were making fun of remakes and sequels and reboots and then now it’s become a giant sequel, reboot. It’s almost become what we were making fun of and it’s hard to maintain that joke when it’s so high stakes.”
Hill still wants to go through with another Jump Street sequel and praised those he worked with most in the two films.
“I love Channing and I love (directors) Phil Lord and Chris Miller and I love making those movies – they’re a lot of fun. So I hope it works out.”
The idea was originally discovered through leaked emails back in December 2014, with Hill saying that ‘jump street merging with mib i think that’s clean and rad and powerful.’ Even if this idea worked, fans would definitely want Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones to come back as Agents J and K, which is where Hill is probably getting at with the crossover ‘being too complicated.’ But we have seen impossible before, so we’ll wait and see.
