iZombie is an adaptation of a comic book series written by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred, and it was developed for The CW by Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas.
The show stars Rose McIver as Liv, a medical resident who is turned into a zombie at a party, and in turn, must now consume brains to remain sentient. To gain easy access to brains, Liv takes a job at a morgue, where her boss encourages her to use her zombie powers to help the police department solve murders.
What are her powers you may ask? Whenever she consumes the brains of a murder victim, she receives some of their memories prior to the murder, and temporarily their personality traits.
Is that premise a little goofy? Maybe, but that hasn’t stopped critics and audiences from praising the first season of the show, prompting The CW to renew it last May.
Based of the trailer, expect more fun and a hungrier Liv as the show enters its sophomore season.
