Thanks in part to the coronavirus pandemic and The Matrix 4, production on John Wick 4 has been slow. Luckily, it appears that may change. English actor Ian McShance (Deadwood, American Gods, John Wick) sat down with the Collider in an interview where he seemed pretty confident John Wick will begin shooting at some point this year. He said:

“Keanu [Reeves] and I exchanged New Year’s greetings and said, ‘Hope to see you this year.’ I know the script is being written and they’re hoping to do it this year.

I know they announced they were gonna do [‘John Wick 4′] and [‘John Wick 5′] together, but who knows. The studios announce all sorts of things.

No doubt, at some point this year, we’re gonna do ‘John Wick 4′.”

John Wick 4 currently holds a 27 May, 2022 released date and John Wick 5 is undetermined at this time.
