That’s right—AMC Networks’ scrappy, fast-rising anime streaming service just dropped its “Summer of Dubs,” and it’s somehow managing to combine sweltering weather with heartwarming slice-of-life stories, steamy romance, and sword-wielding demon hunters. Because why not?

Timed just ahead of HIDIVE’s big Anime Expo 2025 splash, this “Summer of Dubs” campaign kicks off July 16 with the emotional gut-punch known as Flower and Asura. You want award-winning slice-of-life drama to cry into your ice cream over? You got it. And that’s just the opening salvo.

August brings the return of the supernatural romance Call of the Night for Season 2—because nothing says summer love like vampires. Also joining the party is Rock is a Lady’s Modesty, a coming-of-age music drama that sounds like it was named by a poetry generator stuck in a shojo manga. And if you like your fantasy with a side of ancient demons and heavy lore, Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentosho returns for Cour 2 this September, which apparently means we’re using French terms now because “season part two” just isn’t anime enough.

But that’s not all! HIDIVE isn’t just slapping a bow on some reruns. Ongoing dubs are also dropping weekly, including fan-favorite rom-coms like 2.5 Dimensional Seduction (aka “What if your waifu was real and very awkward”) and I’m Living with an Otaku NEET Kunoichi!? which sounds like someone lost a bet with their title generator. And yes, Cour 1 of Sword of the Demon Hunter is still slicing up your watchlist as we speak.

All told, HIDIVE is serving up nearly a dozen new dubbed episodes per week—every week—all summer long. It’s a buffet of anime weirdness, heartfelt drama, and genre-hopping madness that you can digest from the comfort of your air-conditioned couch.

And if that’s not enough, HIDIVE has also launched a new line of anime apparel so you can wear your fandom while you binge. Look out for fresh fits inspired by DanMachi—Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, I Parry Everything!, and The Eminence in Shadow. Yes, there’s even special 10th Anniversary DanMachi merch, which means it’s officially old enough to make you feel ancient.

So yeah, while the rest of the world is sweating through mediocrity, HIDIVE is sweating through dubs. Bring a towel. And maybe a portable fan.
