Here we go again.Â
The second official trailer for the upcoming Ghostbusters reboot has arrived.Â
Check it out below.Â
All right, let’s address the elephant in the room: the first trailer was poorly received. That’s putting it lightly too, as it is one of the most disliked trailers of all-time.Â
So is this a “better” trailer?Â
Well, it definitely feels more like a run-of-the-mill movie trailer. It’s cut more conventionally, it’s longer, and we pretty much know how the film’s plot will unfold.Â
So far, the general response to this second trailer hasn’t been the outrage or hyperbole we saw earlier this year, but as of this article’s publication, the new trailer has over 7,500 likes, and over 22,500 dislikes.Â
We’re kind of surprised Sony didn’t disable the likes/dislikes and comments for this new trailer, but perhaps the studio is using the wide negative response the film has already garnered as a way to create attention. After all, there’s no such thing as bad publicity.
No matter what your opinion is on the film, and its trailers, we would again like to advocate the importance of keeping and open mind, and avoiding toxic behavior.Â
The film stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones, and Chris Hemsworth. Bridesmaids, The Heat, and Spy helmer Paul Feig is directing.
Ghostbusters hits theaters on July 15.Â
