DARKNESS. NO PARENTS.
Even though the Dark Knight is returning to theaters this Friday in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Warner Bros. is gearing up for another film featuring the Caped Crusader; only this one’s much smaller…and animated.
The Lego Batman Movie, featuring the same minifigure hero from The Lego Movie, is set to release early next year.
USA Today has unveiled the first official images of the film, which you can check out below.
Lead voice actor Will Arnett, who also voiced Batman in The Lego Movie, then tweeted out the first poster for the film.

Lending their voices to the film in supporting roles are Michael Cera as Robin, Zach Galifianakis as Joker, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl, and Mariah Carey as the Mayor of Gotham City.
Batman was definitely a highlight of the fantastic Lego Movie, so we have high hopes this spinoff film. Plus, we really hope he writes another song.
The Lego Batman Movie hits theaters on February 10 2017.
