Theater owners outraged by Disney raising the rental fee for the blockbuster and has many worried that small theaters might have to close.

[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]f you live in Germany, Avengers: Age of Ultron might not be coming to a theater near you. that is because Disney has decided to raise their rental fee from 47.7% of ticket sales to 53%, and they have cut advertising money spent, and wont be providing any advances for 3D glasses. In response, 193 small town theaters have decided to not show the film on their total of 686 screens combined. That could mean money lost for the Disney, but that is definitely money lost for these theater owners.

A statement from the Disney Company reads,”We don’t discuss the negotiations that we are engaged in with our partners in exhibition.”
