This would be an amazing accomplishment if he completes this!

[dropcap size=small]F[/dropcap]or those who don’t know, Steam is a popular platform for PC players to buy and run games on their computers. Steam is known for their enormous library of games that are available to browse and purchase for your own entertainment. There are just over 6,000 games available on Steam and that number grows every day. Despite that number, one gamer has made it clear that his goal: to complete every game on Steam.

According to Eurogamer, Multitasker (which is his Reddit username) has been working on this project since 2012. On Reddit, he has an entire thread dedicated to completing this goal called “Finish All Steam Games.” So most people would think that this gamer would be playing these games all day at home and not even seeing the light of day. If you did think that, you are wrong.

In an interview with Eurogamer, he’s an IT consultant in Norway, as well as a father. He uses Photoshop to keep track of all the games he’s played and completed so far. When he actually gets to playing games, he is playing three games at once. Multitasker says:

My friends identify me as the type of guy who always has some sort of project going on. I’m always doing something and rarely do I sit passive and for example watch television. Games as entertainment is the perfect fit for me as I feel more involved and active. This means that the time I spend for myself is usually spent in front of the computer.

While some would criticize Multitasker for wanting to complete such a tall task, others have shown support and complimented him for his skills as a ‘multi-tasker.’

When people make goals like this, it can get a little competitive in the gaming world.

Multitasker has not given up on his goal to complete every game on Steam. So far, Steam has spent close to $15,000 on games, with no end to sight. But that doesn’t seem to be stopping Multitasker from eventually achieving his dream.

“I suspect it will get hectic when my second child arrives,” he tells Eurogamer, “so most likely will it be scaled back quite a bit. I’ll be back on track though, I’m sure of it.”

I’m pulling for this guy to complete his goal. Even if he doesn’t complete it, I’m sure he could beat plenty of games on Steam to earn my respect, with all of the other responsibilities that he has to look out for as well.
