It looks like we may see another major franchise collaboration in Fortnite, much sooner than anticipated. Previously, we had heard through the grapevine that Bungie was already in talks to bring Destiny to the Battle Royale game but we never got any more news on that front. Now, it seems that the deal is likely going through after all but not just with Bungie.
According to HYPEX and Shiina, two credible sources who have an excellent track record of having inside information, Destiny 2 is pretty likely to happen in the future but also Doom, Family Guy, and Lord of the Rings are major possibilities.
We have not heard any chatter regarding specific characters or when this could happen but according to Shiina, at least one of those franchises will be coming to Fortnite as early as next week.
Note: we credit HYPEX and Shiina since we heard the news from them but they both credit user @MidaRado as the source for the information.
Apparently a Fortnite x Destiny collab will also most likely happen in the future! (via @MidaRado) pic.twitter.com/AqIFWlLN2p

RUMOR: One(!) of these collabs will be added to the game next week, according to @MidaRado:
– Doom
– Family Guy
– The Lord of the RingsI don't know which collab it's gonna be, but keep in mind that there's currently a Fall Guys X Doom collab, and the game is now free on Epic. pic.twitter.com/lZzYNzWSqQ

From what I understand, there will be one collab next week and others will follow later down the line.
But as a reminder: As I said in those tweets, this information isn't coming from me but from other leakers with very good leak accuracy.

These are all massive properties that could easily find a place among the growing roster of franchises already involved in Fortnite. Of course, take all of this with a grain of salt as it could still be nothing more than a rumor. That said, we would bet this does turn out to be true considering the track record for these credible sources sharing the news. Also, it is important to keep in mind, that even though this seems entirely plausible, we have seen brand deals fall through at the last minute such as with Nintendo and Samus.
Fortnite’s latest collaboration is with Dragon Ball Super which kicked off earlier this week, bringing Goku, Vegeta, Lord Beerus, and Bulma to the island. The Dragon Ball event is sticking around for the next seven weeks with some pretty sweet places to visit on the island and some awesome rewards to earn. Go check it out when you can and collect the Dragon Balls for a special prize.
