Wait. What? It’s coming in March too?!?
In an age where scripts, set photos, and nearly every bit of information about a film can be leaked, somehow, just somehow, this movie was kept secret.
The first trailer for the pseudo-sequel to 2008’s Cloverfield, 10 Cloverfield Lane, has been released.
Check it out below.
While a huge surprise to many, the film reportedly went into production back in 2014 under the fake titles The Cellar and Valencia to keep things secret.
Although there isn’t a giant alien spider-monster in this trailer, producer J.J. Abrams has called the film a “blood relative to Cloverfield,” and apparently, the films will share the same universe.
10 Cloverfield Lane is directed by Dan Trachtenberg (Portal: No Escape), and stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, John Goodman, and John Gallagher, Jr.
The film appears to follow a trio living in an underground bunker, with some sort of dangerous threat lurking above them.
We are amazed that film has been kept under wraps for so long, and yeah, we’re excited for it too.
10 Cloverfield Lane hits theaters on March 11.
