Earlier this morning, the first official teaser for the highly-anticipated Star Wars series, Obi-Wan Kenobi debuted and left our hearts racing. Take a look at the 1m46s teaser below for the upcoming series, streaming exclusively on Disney+ this May 25th.
The trailer left us with chills and for good reason. Not only does the show feel like it’s returning to its Star Wars roots but visually, it looks like the first show with a significant CGI budget increase. The Grand Inquisitor is here searching for Kenobi while the Jedi watches over young Luke from afar.
This show looks like everything we hoped and if rumors are to be believed then we will see Darth Vader eventually. But that is not all. These rumors suggest that Hayden Christensen himself will be reprising the role and that Darth Maul may even appear in a final showdown against his nemesis.
One thing is for sure- May 25th can’t come soon enough.
