With his solid work on the past two Spider-Man films Jon Watts is a solid choice.

It looks like Fantastic Four is finally getting the proper reboot. Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige made the announcement during Disney’s investor call and we couldn’t be more excited.

Fantastic Four has a bit of a rough history in terms of its cinematic appearances. The first film was released back in 2005 with an origin story and Chris Evans playing Johnny Storm at the time. A sequel followed which was, to put it nicely, quite bad. And then there was the dumpster fire reboot in 2005 by director Josh Trank which failed miserably.

So with all of that in mind, it seems Marvel made the right call when they tapped Jon Watts to direct the film. Watts, who directed both Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Far From Home seems to be the perfect director for the film. Now let’s hope John Krasinski and his wife Emily Blunt is tapped to play Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Girl respectively.

In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.
