Fallout 4 Was Free On Xbox One Briefly Yesterday, By Accident

Massive screw up, or greatest sale ever?

Yesterday, the Xbox One version of Fallout 4 and all of its downloadable content was marked as free, in what was possibly a very nice gesture by Bethesda, or more than likely, a reason someone will be fired for later.

The Fallout 4 Digital Deluxe Edition and the Season Pass all rang up for $0 yesterday, and to confirm, Polygon tested the possible glitch themselves and were able to get the massive discount.

Since then, Fallout 4 and all DLC has been listed as “Not Available” on the store. Microsoft’s Larry Hryb had this to say about it:

“An unintended discount caused some excitement today. While we loved the enthusiasm it generated, prices for Fallout 4 games have been restored.”

What a lucky day for Xbox One users!
