[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]here was plenty of news to come out of New York Comic Con last weekend, and the Resident Evil panel was no exception. The panel announced a US exclusive bonus for pre-ordering the upcoming Resident Evil Revelations 2 through the PlayStation Network.
PSN users can pre-order the Complete Season for the title, which includes all four story episodes in the game plus additional bonus content. On top of that, players who pre-order the game will also receive a download of the RAID Mode Throwback Stage Pack. The additional bonus pack will include locations from previous titles in the Resident Evil series and add them to the game’s RAID Mode.
The Complete Season is available for $24.99, and players who purchase this option will receive each of the four episodes automatically as they become available on a weekly basis. Users can also buy each episode individually for $5.99, while the physical copy of the game (described as “the full RE Revelations 2 experience”) will retail for $39.99 and include everything that comes with the Complete Season plus more bonus content.
No official release date has yet been announced for the game. Stay tuned.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 is currently available for pre-order for PS4, and the pre-order for PS3 will go live on October 21.
What the f? So why release individual episodes at all? If you sum them up, there’s just a 1$ difference. Plus the story will more than likely be spoiled everywhere by those who purchase all the episodes.
I think the point is that you’re getting RAID mode for $1, although I don’t think they’ve announced what the price is to purchase that separately yet. You’d think they’d announce that so it seems like more of a bargain o.O
The Throwback Stage Pack for RAID Mode will only be able by purchasing the Complete Season, so that DLC will not be available otherwise. There is some additional bonus content that is exclusive to Complete Season purchasers that will be announced later, but it would make sense to reveal that content soon to convince players to buy the whole pack.
