[dropcap size=small]B[/dropcap]ethesda is making a huge play with its migration of Elder Scrolls Online to the current-gem consoles. June 9th is the release date set for the release. Following this announcement, Bethesda let players know that ESO would be losing its monthly mandatory subscription. This is likely do to the fact that XBL and PSN already require players to pay for access to online gaming, and adding to that cost would be a huge deterrent.
While the subscription won’t be mandatory, players can still pay for ESO Plus. Doing so will give them access to “exclusive in-game bonuses, a monthly allotment of Crowns to use in the store and access to all DLC game packs while a member.” Crowns will be the premium currency used in the ESO stores after the June 9th release. We will continue to keep you up to date with all of the ESO news as it becomes available.
