Everyone’s favorite serial killer is back in a brand-new sequel series to the critically acclaimed Showtime series (or, at least the first five seasons). Dexter: New Blood sees the return of Dexter Morgan 10 years later in the small town of Iron Lake, New York. Now under the name Jim Lindsay (a slight reference to original author Jeff Lindsay), Dexter must face his past and the burden of his Dark Passenger once more. Take a look for yourself in this chillingly exciting new trailer for the upcoming series debuting on Showtime this November 7th.

America’s Favorite serial killer is back. Currently in production on 10 new episodes, Dexter: New Blood premieres on SHOWTIME on November 7. Join award-winning star Michael C Hall (Dexter, executive producer), Clyde Phillips (showrunner, executive producer), Scott Reynolds (executive producer), Marcos Siega (executive producer, director), and Dexter newcomer Julia Jones (Angela) for a virtual panel discussion moderated by entertainment journalist and Dexter super fan Kristin Dos Santos. Tune in for a never-before-seen sneak peek trailer for a look at what’s to come…

After the events of the tragically disappointing 8th and final season, Dexter Morgan went missing after boating off straight into the eye of Hurrican Laura. Now, under a new identity and living a new life, the name Dexter Mogan may be no more but the Dark Passenger will always be.

The news of the trailer comes from this year’s SDCC through its uniquely designed Comic-Con@Home experience. The full panel can be watched below on YouTube in a video that clocks in at just a hair over 43m.

We had always hoped that the 8th season was not the end, after a lackluster 6th and 7th season, the 8th was a bit of a disaster that hurt almost as bad as Game of Thrones. Now Showtime and Dexter both finally get a shot at redemption in the eyes of fans when the show picks up later this fall.
