A number of big name actresses are being considered for the mutant assassin.

Although the director of Deadpool will no longer be involved the sequel, the show must go on. Preproduction of Deadpool 2 continues, and that includes the casting of the Merc with a Mouth’s longtime buddy, Domino.

Collider reportedly has a shortlist of actresses being eyed by Fox for the role of Domino in Deadpool 2. Headlining this list is Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex) and Ruby Rose (Orange Is the New Black).

A number of other ladies in consideration for the role include Mary Elizabeth Winstead (10 Cloverfield Lane), Sienna Miller (American Sniper), Sofia Boutella (Kingsman: The Secret Service), Stephanie Sigman (Spectre), and Sylvia Hoeks (Overspel), Eve Hewson (The Knick), and Kelly Rohrbach (the upcoming Baywatch film).

Still a frontrunner for the role is Mackenzie Davis (The Martian), who was rumored for the role back in August.

For those who don’t know, Domino is an expert markswoman with probability altering mutant powers who is often seen fighting alongside Deadpool and Cable in the militant mutant group the X-Force. A film adaptation of X-Force is currently in the works, so expect to see Domino there as well.

We’re big fans of all of women on this list, and we’re sure they’d all rock it as Domino. Personally, I’m rooting for Ramona Flowers, aka, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, or the always awesome Sienna Miller.

We’ll just have to wait and see.
