Deadpool
The world got a nice little Christmas surprise yesterday in the form of the newest Deadpool trailer. Ryan Reynolds plays the titular character and is back in another trailer with even more hilarity than the first. We are treated to a nice little cab scene, a very nice look at Colossus, and Deadpool literally kicking one man’s head into another man. The trailer was again packed with laughs and great jokes that could only be associated with Wade Wilson. I would highly suggest it if you are looking for a good giggle.
Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds, Morena Baccarin, Ed Skrein, T. J. Miller, Gina Carano, and Brianna Hildebrand and hits theaters February 12th, 2016.
Eddie the Eagle
Everybody loves a feel good sports movie. Eddie the Eagle is the true story of Eddie Edwards, a man who while growing up was not very good at anything and was not picked in any sort of athletic games with his peers. Eddie’s dream was to go to the Olympics but he did not know what sport to try and do so in. But then he found ski jumping. Despite the hardships he faced as many on the Great Britain Olympic committee did not want him in the Olympics, Eddie did end up representing Great Britain in the 1988 Winter Olympics.
Eddie the Eagle stars Taron Egerton, Hugh Jackman, and Christopher Walken and soars into theaters on February 26th, 2016.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot
Continuing with the trend of movies based on real people, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot is based on the book ‘The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan’ written by Kim Barker, who is played by Tina Fey. In the movie, Barker gets a chance to leave her boring normal life behind her and leave for Afghanistan/Pakistan to become a war correspondent during Operation Enduring Freedom. While there, Barker finds love, a whole host of weird and wonderful people, and gets a chance to prove that she can go into the war zone and document the whole thing.
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot stars Tina Fey, Margot Robbie, Martin Freeman, Christopher Abbott, Billy Bob Thornton, and Alfred Molina and hits theaters March 4th, 2016.
