Near the end of Venom, Tom Hardy’s Brock is doing an interview with an inmate with the most ridiculous looking red hair. Turns out, that inmate is none other than Cletus Kasady, the serial killer who bonds with the Carnage symbiote, a villain that is likely to be a major focus of the Venom sequel, which is filming right now.
Played by Woody Harrelson, Cletus Kasady/Carnage is a major villain of both Spider-Man and Venom, both of whom have teamed up on more than one occasion to take the psychotic red symbiote down.
Harrelson is set to return as Kasady, and while the scope of the character’s role in the Venom sequel is not currently known, filming has begun where fans have captured footage of what appears to be Woody Harrelson possibly revealing the Carnage symbiote in action. You can see the footage for yourself below.
The footage is clearly without any CGI, but if you watch closely, you can see what is very clearly a police officer unloading bullets into Kasady, who looks to be taking no damage in a sort of mocking-of-the-officer type of way. Harrelson’s stance during this scene suggests to us that the Carnage symbiote is being revealed, absorbing the bullets and possibly setting up to go on the offensive with its fierce tendrils.
The Venom sequel is scheduled to release this October 2nd, so expect to see more teasers and promotional materials over the next few months.
