This might happen!
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]here have been a lot of rumors about who is going to play Cable in Deadpool 2. One name that has come up that apparently passed on the role was Brad Pitt.
During casting, Pitt and the casting team for Deadpool 2 had a lot of interest in each other and he was in the lead for the role. He has since passed on the role so he could focus on another project, presumably World War Z 2. However with World War Z 2 being delayed indefinitely there is a chance that Pitt could come back to the table and make a deal to play Cable.

Right now, Michael Shannon (Man of Steel, Nocturnal Animals) is currently in the lead to grab the role as Cable but nothing is confirmed yet. Hopefully, a decision will be made soon so that we can finally find out who will be playing Cable.
Deadpool 2 will be directed by David Leitch (John Wick) and will star Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Zazie Beetz (Atlanta) as Domino.
Deadpool 2 is currently scheduled to be released in theaters in 2018.
