Call of Duty: Black Ops III to feature Titanfall style movement and Specialist characters in multiplayer mode.

[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]reyarch is giving the Call of Duty multiplayer a huge overhaul in Black Ops III with an update to the entire movement style to make it more momentum based. One new movement action, wall running, will work similarly to how it does in Titanfall. The player will be able to run at a wall on an angle and then continue straight up on the side of it. Jumping between walls will reset the player’s energy meter which allows for more advanced movements, like a power slide or to jump higher into the air than normal. Another huge addition to multiplayer is swimming, players will now be able to enter the bodies of water located on the maps guns a-blazing.

Specialist classes are another addition to the multiplayer mode in order to add more customization to the game. There will be nine classes overall and each class will have a specific weapon and ability that only they can use. Before a match, the player will choose to either use the weapon or the ability and each is charged up to full power at different rates over the course of the match. Four of the nine classes have been released so far:

Seraph: The Seraph class’s weapon is the Annihilator handgun, a one-hit kill revolver, and the Combat Focus ability, which increases score streaks for a limited amount of time.

Ruin: An infantry soldier who uses Gravity Spikes as a weapon, which is a lethal AOE melee attack and has the Overdrive ability which speeds him up for a short amount of time.

Reaper: A war robot with the Scythe weapon, an arm that transforms into a mini-gun, and the Glitch ability that teleports the player back to a position they were a few seconds ago.

Outrider: She is armed with a bow and explosive arrows, called Sparrow, and also has the ability Vision Pulse which pings enemies on the map and reveals their locations.

Treyarch has also revealed a new weapon customization system named Gunsmith which allows the player to add up to five attachments to their weapon and create custom paint jobs for it.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III is set for release on November 6th, 2015 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
