What gives dude?
[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap] few days ago a South African fan site posted an article claiming that Ben Affleck had agreed to be a part of Matt Reeves’ Batman trilogy. The site claimed the final film in the trilogy would draw much of its inspiration from Batman Beyond to lay the ground work for the second phase of DC’s Extended Universe. However, this is not true and is nothing more than a rumor.
As of right now, Ben Affleck hasn’t signed on for the planned solo Batman film. It may be because of extenuating circumstances or maybe it’s because they can’t get a decent script produced for the film. (They definitely can’t) If we still haven’t convinced you that this rumor isn’t real here is some additional information: The author of the article goes by the name of “Edward Nigma” which is the name of The Riddler in the Batman comics. Sounds pretty sketchy now doesn’t it? Whether or not you want Ben Affleck to star in a solo Batman film there is no current news regarding the matter. So if you don’t want Batfleck rest easy, for now.
