Marty McFly and Doc are back together in Lego form!
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]raveller’s Tales upcoming world-blending Lego game, Lego Dimensions, is set to be jam-packed with nostalgic feels and that classic Lego humour. We’ll be seeing everything from Batman to Scooby Doo, and the sheer wealth of famous actors they have on board is impressive to say the least.
In a recent promo, we got a glimpse of some of the expansive cast and the classic roles they’ll be reprising. Perhaps one of the most exciting cameos comes in the form of Marty McFly and Dr. Emmett Brown duo, Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox. Yes that’s right, the actors have gotten back together again to play their iconic characters in Lego form. Huzzah!
We also see some classic Back to the Future moments charmingly re-imagined in Lego form, with creative director Jon Burton saying they wanted ‘everything to be as authentic as possible.’ They certainly appear to have achieved this goal – both design-wise and voice-wise.
Other famous faces such as Chris Pratt, Gary Oldman, Bryce Dallas Howard, and some of the cast members of The Simpsons – such as Hank Azaria and Dan Castellaneta – will also be featured. Game voice actor Troy Baker (of The Last of Us fame), will be taking on the roles of Batman, Joker, Two-Face and Slimer, and Dan Aykroyd is even reprising his role as Dr. Raymond Stantz from Ghostbusters. There are so many famous actors involved, you only have to glance at the IMDB cast list to be impressed.
It looks like Lego Dimensions is going to be an absolute delight, filled to the brim with pop culture references that will appeal to all ages.
Lego Dimensions will be available on all platforms including Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on the 27 September, 2015 (NA), and 29 September, 2015 (EU).
