It’s being reported that Dawn of the Planet of the Apes had an amazing Friday in the box office, with earnings being estimated at $27.7 million.
Sitting currently with a 91% on Rotten Tomatoes, it’s safe to assume that this film will be topping the charts all weekend.
The fact that it doesn’t really have any competition right now has to have some positive effect as well. With Transformers and Tammy dropping between 37% and 55% since last week, the way for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes to make over $100 million by next weekend has been paved.
