We just can’t get enough zombies can we?
[dropcap size=small]D[/dropcap]ead Rising: Endgame, the sequel to Dead Rising: Watchtower, has started filming in Vancouver. Endgame will star Jesse Metcalfe, who is returning for his role as Chase Carter, Denis Haysbert, and Keegan Connor Tracy. Titanic actor Billy Zane will be joining the cast to play the scientist Rand. The film’s plot will revolve around Carter going in to the zombie infested zone of the city of East Mission to try and stop a secret government conspiracy. Pat Williams (Continuum) will direct the film instead of Watchtower director Zach Lipovsky.
Endgame will debut on Sony’s streaming service Crackle. Watchtower had success using Crackle as the main method of distribution and the executives at Crackle hope that Endgame will be able to build on that success.
“With last year’s success of Dead Rising: Watchtower, there was no question that Crackle viewers had an insatiable appetite for this popular and entertaining franchise,” Cracke executive Eric Berger said in a statement. “We can’t wait to deliver another great feature for this rabid and loyal audience.”
Dead Rising: Endgame will debut on Crackle in the summer.
