[dropcap size=small]A[/dropcap] lot has happened in the world of Minecraft as of late. For starters, Microsoft purchased Minecraft developer Mojang for a hefty $2.5 billion. The acquisition was announced mid-September, and the deal was finalized earlier this month.
Rest assured, Microsoft hasn’t flexed any muscle as far as exclusivity goes. The popular sandbox game will still be available on PC, Playstation consoles, iOS, Google Play, as well as the other Microsoft-owned platforms.
Since the acquisition, the developers at Mojang have continued to be hard at work to bring fans new and updated content. Version 0.10 has just been released for Minecraft – Pocket Edition.
The new update boats a number of graphic and performance enhancements. Here’s what the new update offers according to Mojang:
- Loads of bug fixes!
- More watery-looking water
- Foggier-looking fog
- Even more particles than before
- Tinted lighting on terrain and mobs
- Improved performance on many devices
- More fences! More fence gates! Everyone loves fences
