[dropcap size=small]I[/dropcap]t appears that more evidence has emerged that Warner Bros.’s highly anticipated film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, is drawing heavily from Frank Miller’s pinnacle work The Dark Knight Returns.
Ladies and gentlemen, Batman may now have his Robin.
For months, fans have speculated how true to that work the film would be. Now, if the latest rumors are true, it sounds like it’ll be pretty dang close.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will reportedly feature actress Jena Malone (The Hunger Games) as female Robin – Carrie Kelly, according to a local news station in Detroit.
A WILX-10 News reporter spoke to an extra at Michigan State University where a scene is being filmed this week. It was there that the extra stated to the reporter, “I’ve also learned that the character of Robin is now female.”
Of course, Warner Bros. has declined to comment on this latest rumor.
While these preliminary reports are all hear-say, it should be noted that actress Jena Malone has been spotted on the WB set and at public appearances sporting a new red hairdo, which gives credence to the reports that she will be playing Carrie Kelly, a young girl who took up the mantle of Robin in The Dark Knight Returns.
The ‘anonymous’ extra who spoke with WILX is reportedly facing a $5 million fine after having signed a non-disclosure agreement.
Jena Malone could pull this off. She is almost thirty, but she is looking pretty good. Too bad Bobby hates her face, lol.
