Anime NYC 2026 runs August 20 through 23 at the Javits Center in Hudson Yards on Manhattan’s West Side, making it the largest anime convention on the East Coast, and HIDIVE is showing up with a full slate of premieres and panels designed to give attendees their first look at what is coming this October.
The showcase kicks off on Friday, August 21st with two back to back world premieres, starting with the world dub premiere of The World Is Dancing, the critically acclaimed period drama that made waves this summer, followed immediately by the world premiere of Tetsuryo! Meet with Tetsudou Musume, the new original slice of life anime celebrating the 20th anniversary of Japan’s Railway Girls franchise.
Later that same afternoon, the North American premiere of Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden rounds out what is shaping up to be an extremely full Friday for anyone trying to catch everything.
Saturday, August 22nd shifts focus to one of the most anticipated returning series on the HIDIVE slate, as Reincarnated as a Sword gets its North American Season 2 premiere alongside a Q&A panel featuring Director Shinji Ishihira and Producers Yosuke Shimada and Genta Ozaki flying in from Japan specifically for the event.
HIDIVE’s complete Fall 2026 simulcast lineup will also be on display throughout the weekend for attendees who want the full picture of what October has in store. Anyone heading to the Javits Center is encouraged to tag their posts with the hashtag HIDIVENYC throughout the weekend, and anyone who cannot make it to New York should probably start preparing for October regardless because the lineup is coming whether you were at the convention or not.
