While the new Super Smash Bros hasn’t released in North America yet, it’s already off and running in Japan, which means we finally get our first look at the full lineup.
If you want to be surprised by the unlocks me characters, stop reading now, as this contains obvious spoilers.
So, who’s in and who’s out? Take a look below.
There are 49 characters in all – 34 returning and 15 newcomers.
Now, some issues that fans have are the use of “clones” – or different characters with the same, or similar move sets. Mario and Dr. Mario is a good example. This time around, Nintendo has seemingly elected to prefer the use of clones over original characters like Solid Snake and Ice Climbers- who are both missing!
With the announcement of DLC for Mario Kart 8, we can certainly expect DLC for Super Smash. Is there still hope for these missing characters? Guess we will have to wait and see! Who would you like to see make a come back- Mewtwo anyone? Any new additions? Banjo-Kazooie perhaps? Leave a comment below and let us know your thoughts.
Super Smash Bros is set for an October release for 3DS with the Wii U version coming shortly after this holiday season.
