Gigantamax Pokemon can be rather rare to come across in the wild. Whether it be through Raids or Trades, they certainly are a delight to encounter and catch (or receive). However, there may be even more out there than you realize.
With the upcoming expansions, a brand new assortment of Pokemon will be added to the game that were not previously available in the base version of Sword and Shield. Among those Pokemon, a handful will be available in Gigantamax forms as well. In particular, The Isle of Armor expansion includes a handful of returning Pokemon, but also a new function that allows players to train their Pokemon to Gigantamax (meaning if they weren’t previously capable of doing it, you can train them to Gigantamax).
For your convenience, we have gathered a list of all the currently available Pokemon that can Gigantamax in addition to adding all the ones we know of that will be coming with The Isle of Armor expansion, courtesy of Bulbapedia. It should be noted that The Isle of Armor appears to feature new Gigantamax Pokemon while The Crown Tundra expansion instead brings new Galar forms of many previous generation Pokemon. Both expansions will bring back more than 100 previous-gen Pokemon combined.

Gigantamax Pokemon are one of the big features in Gen VIII. Increasing the size and HP is one thing, but altering their appearance makes them a lot more fun and sought after for collectors and fans and we can’t wait to catch ’em all.
The Isle of Armor expansion will be available in June of this year. It will be followed by The Crown Tundra expansion in the fall. No word whether or not The Crown Tundra will include new Gigantamax Pokemon but it certainly seems very likely.
