[dropcap size=small]D[/dropcap]espite his latest project being a short film, it appears that Hayao Miyazaki’s next film won’t be meeting it’s planned release date. Toshio Suzuki, who is the producer for the project, broke the news at the Niconico Chokaigi convention this past weekend stating that although Miyazaki has been putting in quite a lot of effort into his next film only roughly 20 minutes of storyboarding have been completed thus far.
Hayao Miyazaki’s latest film, which is based on the short film Kemushi no Boro (Boro the Caterpillar), was originally planned to be revealed in 2019. Unfortunately, it seems that producer Toshio Suzuki isn’t even sure that Miyazaki will complete the feature film within his own timeline.
