Netflix reportedly paid over $90 million to produce the film.
[dropcap size=small]C[/dropcap]all me crazy but I’d bet $50 this film is better than Suicide Squad. Sure, David Ayer directed this film but there are fantasy creatures straight out of Lord of the Rings like orcs and elves in it. How could this film possibly suck? Plus, Will Smith is involved so it is more than likely an interesting mix of comedy and action. Check out the trailer below.
Bright takes place in an “alternate present-day where humans, orcs, elves, and fairies have been co-existing since the beginning of time.” Will Smith plays the role of Ward, a cop on patrol with his orc-officer Jakoby (Joel Edgerton) when they “encounter a darkness that will ultimately alter the future and their world as they know it.” Netflix is referring to the film as a “prophesied turf battle.”
Bright will be available for streaming sometime in December of this year.
