He is the one who knocks… err, floats.
Earlier today, actor/meth kingpin Bryan Cranston took to his twitter to announce that he will be playing none other than Zordon in the upcoming Power Rangers reboot.
Excited to play #Zordon in the #PowerRangersMovie! T or F: #BlueRanger Billy Cranston was named after what actor? https://t.co/d3ltjpcDKb

For those unfamiliar, Zordon is a pale floating head that hangs out in a blue tube. He’s also the creator and mentor of the Power Rangers and adversary of the evil Rita Repulsa, set to be played by Elizabeth Banks, while the Rangers themselves will be played by relatively unfamiliars.
All this casting news sounds great but who is going to voice Alpha 5? The people want to know! Ok, I want to know.
The mighty #Zordon has officially been cast! Please welcome #BryanCranston to the #PowerRangersMovie. pic.twitter.com/MbJDR7PnfI

FUN FACT: Back in the day, Bryan Cranston voiced a few of the monsters in the original series. Iconic villains like every’s favorite, Twinman. Alright, admit it, you don’t remember Twinman. Neither do we. Either way, Cranston was so loved on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers set that the writers even named the Blue Ranger with the last name Cranston.
Saban’s Power Rangers reboot is currently filming and is set to release March 24th, 2017.
