Lets just hope the real Snowden doesn’t leak the movie before it’s out.
[dropcap size=small]T[/dropcap]he first trailer for the film about the true story of Edward Snowden, Snowden, has been officially released by Open Road Films. Snowden, which stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Johnathan Snowden, is about the events leading up to and the fallout from the leak of information from the NSA.
This event caused a lot of controversy in the United States and caused many people to question how much they could really trust the government. The movie is sure to have a politically charged nature and some bias but it should also provide some insight into an event that has left many people with questions about what exactly was going on in the NSA.

Shailene Woodley, Zachary Quinto, and Nicolas Cage will be starring in the film alongside Gordon-Levitt. The screenplay for the film was written by Kieran Fitzgerald and Oliver Stone, who also directed the film.Â
Snowden will be released in theaters September 16, 2016.
