The Winds of Winter are blowing stronger.

The first trailer for the sixth season of HBO’s Game of Thrones has arrived.

The trailer gives us brief at what’s to come for the show’s various characters, including a Dothraki imprisoned Danenerys, a blinded Arya, a still deceased Jon Snow (for now), and an alive Theon and Sansa. They survived their jump!

There are a couple very interesting specific instances from trailer, including the return of Bran Stark (now much older and with a haircut), who appears to encounter the Night’s King at 1:21. This could very well be a vision Bran is having of the White Walker leader, similar to one he had in season four, but since the young Stark is north of the Wall, an actual confrontation is possible.

Another really fascinating scene occurs at 1:16, where we get a very brief glance of a knight wearing Targaryen armor, as the three-headed dragon sigil can be seen.

The Targaryen knight (center).

As House Targaryen is all but gone, with the exception of Danny, this leads us to believe this scene is a flashback sequence to Robert’s Rebellion, and perhaps this warrior is fighting a young Ned Stark.

Last season had a foreshadowing flashback involving Cersei, so could we be getting another one now? Perhaps regarding Jon Snow’s true parentage?!

Maybe, but then again, anything is possible. The show has basically caught up with George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire source material, so we’re heading into uncharted waters, and we couldn’t be more excited.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO on April 24.
